The Wildlife
WILDLIFE IN CORBETT NATIONAL PARK ( FAUNA ) Corbett is home to over 585 species of birds, 7 species of amphibians, 33 species of reptiles, 7 species of fishes and 37 species of dragonflies.

Mammals:
Tiger leopard, elephant, chital, sambar, hog deer, barking deer, wild boar, langur, Wild pig, rhesus monkey, sambar and jackal.

Birds - Avifauna :
Herons, Darters, Cormorants, Lapwings, Paradise Flycatchers, Munias, Weaver birds, Fishing eagles, Serpent eagles, Spotted Eagles, Black throated Payas, Mynas, Indian Roller, Jungle Fowl, Teal, oriole, Laughing thrush, Vultures, Thrushes, Barbets, Peacocks, peahens, Kingfishers, Migrant Gulls, Moorhens, Ducks, Geese, Sandpipers, Nightjars, Cuckoos, Woodpeckers, Wagtails, Black winged Kits, Drongos, Doves, Plovers, Black necked Storks, Parakeets, Sarus Crane, Owls, Chir Pheasants, Kalij Pheasants, Grebes, Grey Lags, Snipes, Harriers, Ospreys, Minivets, Babblers, Hornbills, falcons and Stone Curlews. Corbett has nearly 600 bird species officially recorded in it's log books.

Reptile:
Indian marsh crocodile, gharial, King cobra, common krait, cobra, Russels viper, python and monitor lizard;.

Fish:
Mahaseer, kalimuchi, kalabasu, chilwa and goonch. Although the main highlights of Jim Corbett Park are the endangered Bengal tigers, leopards and crocodiles; yet other wildlife animals like sambas, hogs, otters, boars, elephants, sloths, gorals, pangolins and langurs can also be easily spotted here.

The charm of the national park is further enhanced with the presence of black bucks, spotted deers, Himalayan Black bears, yellow-throated martens and Indian Grey Mongoose. Not only this, due to it's varied climatic conditions Corbett is the preferred habitat of many resident and migratory birds like peacocks, eagles, jungle fowls and parakeets.

FLORA IN CORBETT NATIONAL PARK ( VEGETATION )
Corbett's floral diversity is mind boggling. In association with bhabar about 110 species of trees, 51 species of shrubs, 27 species of climbers and 33 species of bamboo and grass are found. The dominant species of tree is Sal Shorea robusta which is found over 75 % of the total area. In a few areas pure stands of sal are found. Trees like Haldu Adina cardifolia, pipal Ficus religiosa, Rohini Mallotus philipensis and mango Mangifera indica are also commonly found. Sheesham Dalbergia sissoo is found along the Ramganga river.

Sal, semal, dhak, kharpat, sissoo, khair, khingan, bakli, bel, ber, bamboo, rohini, pula, khingan and kuthber.
